Heritage is Off Our Rocker for Pottery

Lindsay Klix is a potter, a mother, and a philosopher, maybe not in that order, but for sure all at the same time. During our phone conversation Lindsay was answering my questions, sanding different pottery pieces, and checking on her kids who seemed to be playing idyllically upstairs. I was duly impressed. I’ve combed through the Off Your Rocker website and social media feeds and have surmised that this is a woman who, while self-reportedly not leaving her house much, gets things done.

The Great Cooper Rescue

One time, last Monday, there was a dog named Cooper. He was everything a dog should be: loyal, cheerful, adventurous. He had become the official mascot of the Heritage crew, making himself at home in the shop and in the barn, keeping everybody chipper and honest and on their toes.

Ho-Ho-Heritage!

It’s a Heritage Holiday and we’ve been ringing it in with a game night and an Italian feast! At Heritage, our team isn’t just a team, it’s a family, so we decided to do what families do when they get together: hang out, play games, and eat. Check, check, and check some more. Starting early Saturday evening we enjoyed our new digs at Heritage North with bevvys and snacks followed by competitive games complete with prizes and a little bit of gloating. Afterwards we jingled all the way to a fancy dinner out.

Buried Bottles and Secret Rooms

A tough guy butler opens the massive front door ushering us into a cozy office. “Whaddaya say?” he inquires, asking us to declare our secret entry phrase. We chanted, “This tomato gave me the icy mitt at the petting factory.” We’re then allowed clandestine passage down to a secret round wine room encased in beautiful aged wood crowned with brick.
