It’s a Heritage Holiday and we’ve been ringing it in with a game night and an Italian feast! At Heritage, our team isn’t just a team, it’s a family, so we decided to do what families do when they get together: hang out, play games, and eat. Check, check, and check some more. Starting early Saturday evening we enjoyed our new digs at Heritage North with bevvys and snacks followed by competitive games complete with prizes and a little bit of gloating. Afterwards we jingled all the way to a fancy dinner out.
Mixing and mingling in the kitchen at Heritage North. Our whole team was accounted for, along with husbands, wives, brothers, fiancés, new brides, new girlfriends, three sets of BFF’s, and a yellow lab.
This little shindig gave us a merry reason to finish decorating the common area at Heritage North and add a pinch of holiday spice with retro string lights and classic Christmas music.
A round-robin of classic games commenced, including Scattergories, Jenga, Connect Four, Boggle, and Spoons. Observations: Our Connect Four is down one red chip so black always won, Scattergories is solely dependent on the benevolence of the judges, and Boggle is super stressful. Also, the trash talk should not be repeated.
It was all fun and games until we all went out to a scrumptious dinner at Café Calamari and had some more fun and good conversation and really good calamari. And bruschetta. And chicken or salmon. And Tiramisu. Thanks to that fine establishment for such a festive dinner!
