Sometimes we folks at Heritage make something really special that, frankly, we'd like to hang on to for a spell. This particular piece got its start when it dawned on us that we had only a few boards from the Lansky structure left and wanted to craft something truly unique with those materials. The Lansky wood has a killer gangster history (the wood came from a secret hideout of famous gangster Meyer Lansky) so we thought long and hard about how to use the last of what we had around.
The Super Bar as it came to be called, took almost as long to design as it did to build, but that's par for the course at Heritage.
The cool thing about the Super Bar is that all of us at the shop had a hand in the building process, from conception to finished product. It became a pet project for everyone at Heritage.
When it was finished we said we'd let her hang with us in the showroom for a season until we were ready to part with her. Little did we know a customer would fall in love with her within a week after completion and what can we say? He made us an offer we couldn't refuse.
We're not delivering until July, though, so stop by the showroom and take a look. After that, she's dead to us.
