Dream a Little Dream

Six years ago, a few friends had a little dream. They thought they’d take down a few barns, make some really cool custom furniture, and call it a small side project. What they didn’t know was how much they were going to dig that little dream, and how much people loved well-crafted custom pieces. The small side project expanded and filled a barn. Carpenters and office assistants and accountants were hired and we all became a team. The dream gathered steam and made friends and slept only a little and all the while tables and wall cladding and barn doors and mantels were being built and sold to happy customers. The dream grew so we bought it a pick-up truck and introduced it to more good folks and hired more carpenters.

But like a kid who outgrows his overalls, space was getting a little tight around our trusty old barn. Carpenters were bumping elbows, finishers were vying for a little corner. The dream had molted, and grown into a teenage dream, testing its boundaries pushing its limits. Someone needed to fly the coop and stretch its wings.

So 1.4 miles north of the Heritage property, we bought a new Heritage home. Heritage North. On 4.43 acres, with 2 buildings and close to 17,000 square feet of shop space, Heritage North is digging in and planting roots. Because of the ample space, we've already shifted select projects to be worked on there. And, of course, the property has a backstory. Local legend tells us that the place was a stop on the Underground Railroad. We're so looking forward to uncovering that history and making new history on our new Heritage North property. Dream on!!

We're so thankful to have such great roots on our existing Heritage property. That's where we cut our teeth and we'll never forget it.
